Untouchability is a terrible reality.

Hello Everyone! In this article we'll discuss about the Untouchability.

Let us, by praying, purify ourselves and we shall not only remove untouchability but shall also hasten the advent of Swaraj.

People who were considered as untouchables

What is Untouchability?

Untouchability and Caste based discrimination is one the most serious crime against humanity. It is grave human rights violation.

Even after the independence, do you think that we are independent? while these type of matters are still getting populated. Countless people have to live in degrading conditions and they have to face lots of restrictions..

If we asked any Hindu person to explain the nature of the caste system, they might to tell the story of Brahma the four headed, four handed deity worshipped as the creator of the universe.

Nature of Caste system
Nature of Caste system

The priests and teachers were cast from his mouth, rulers and warriors from his arms, merchants and traders from his thighs and workers and peasant from his feat.

There is a fifth class in Hinduism. It encompassed outcasts who, literally, did all the dirty work. They were referred to as "Untouchables" or "Grubby" people because they carried out the miserable tasks associated with disease and pollution, such as cleaning up after funerals, dealing with sewage, and working with animal skin.

At some places still Dalit students are unable to go to school, employment evenues are closed, they are suspended to enter temples, they were not allowed to common cemetery etc.

Education Doesn't matter with Caste

A Dalit girl
A Dalit girl who was tortured  by a higher caste
 in small town of Rajasthan

This story is about a  Dalit family. They lived in a small town of Rajasthan. There was a girl and her father and a brother. Her mother passed away when she was born. She was raised by her father. They used to have face a lot due to their backward caste. But the girl was really intelligent and she wanted to make her father and the  whole village proud.

They were not allowed to go to temples, when Thakurs filled water, they were not allowed to fill .They were asked to sit at the last in class . Even at school, Dalit children may be asked to clean toilets and to eat separately. Ensure human right for all.

They always had to work for others. Sometimes they were forced by upper cast when they denied to do that work. One day when exams  about to held, she went to school to get her roll number and her master ji refused to give her. He said to her that you are from lower cast and he doesn't want to allow her for examination.

The master ji has came a few days later and he apologized for his mistake and he gave her roll number and blessings. She had given all exams with full of hard work. The result day has come and she topped not even class but in whole village..

Education is not for a particular  religion, It is the right of every human being.

Those who do clean roads are considered garbage. Why is it not to respect society that talks about tradition?

Workers whose hands are used to built temples, then why they don't allow to go temples.

Blood became everyone with the same color and everyone had the same human religion.

When you need blood in emergency that time you never ask for caste then why we fight for that?

There is only one caste, the caste of humanity. There is only one religion, the religion of love. There is only one language, the language of the heart.

Thanks

  6. I feel sad for what happened and I feel worse for what's happening. How can we move on?
I think promoting inter cast marriages is the best possible way to eradicate the strong and big caste boundaries in our society.

What are your thoughts on this?
I have covered a similar topic on such issue. About LGBT community....

I would love to know your thoughts in this less discussed /controversial topic.
    Thank you

  7. Inter cast marriages is taboo in Indian society, lovers have been killed for it. I strongly feel this is the main obstacle which stops our society from mixing. Hence this boundary continues.
Despite sharing same religious beliefs Hindus are strictly divided into subgroups and don't relate with each other. A different caste usually means different kind of human to majority people.....
Hence this thinking needs to go. Society needs to mix.
