When the dark night passes, a bright morning will come. With the bright morning, there'll be hope. As the dawn approaches, it brings us aspiration.
It is only when we have known the darkness, do we realise the value of light. Despite seeming elusive at times, light could be just around the corner.
Like the light at the end of the tunnel, or the dawn that follows the darkest night, or the sun that appears from behind the clouds your light is there, too, even though it plays hide-and-seek.
You must believe that there will always be hope in the times of gloom and there will always be light in the time of darkness.
When you believe that you will find light, when you believe that the darkness is only a phase and treat it as nothing more, your light will become visible and you will shine as a beacon of hope to many.

You need to walk into darkness to find your light. The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light. The people who walked with all their joys and hopes, their disappointments and regrets have seen a great light.
The people who walked with successes and failures, their worries and expectations have seen a great light. As said by Terry Pratchett, Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it.
I would like to share a story of Bethany Hamilton,
Bethany Hamilton is an extremely talented professional surfer who won her division of the NSSA National Championship.
At the age of 13, Bethany Hamilton was attacked by a 14 foot tiger shark, resulting in losing one of her arms. This incident seemed to end Hamilton’s goal of being the greatest woman surfer and it almost ended her life.
She had lost almost 70% of her blood that morning, but she didn’t give up the fight to live. Even though the event she lived was traumatic, Hamilton didn’t give up on her dream. Just ten weeks after the accident, the determined teen surfer went back to the ocean to relearn how to surf.
With a new surf board created so she could paddle with ease, she taught herself to not only adapt to the board, but also adapt to the rough sea out there with only one arm. After only a couple of practices, she started to surf competitively again.
That year she placed fifth at the National Surfing Championship and joined the United States National Surfing Team. Hamilton won the award for “Best Comeback Athlete.” Her dream was never lost because she had the determination to pick herself up and ride the wave.
Bethany Hamilton is a hero, because she never lost her courage and faith during her time of recovery.
She used all her strength to fight for her life, get back up, and try again even though the odds were stacked against her. It showed that she has the courage and the willpower to overcome life’s obstacles. Those qualities along with her faith makes her a true hero. She continues to be the best female surfer even with her “handicap.”
No matter the outcome, she will forever be a “Soul Surfer”, for the ocean may have almost taken her life away, but it didn’t take away her faith, her courage, or her outstanding talent.
So friends, Hardship is an important part of success. It's important you continue to believe that whatever you're going through will only help you grow enormously. In success there is ambition, in failure there is illumination.
There are darkness in life and there are lights, and you are one of the lights, the light of all lights.
