After the best efforts of the doctors, she didn't regain the consciousness. The doctors declared her brain dead on 11th jan.

While seeing the predicament of other admitted patients in the hospital, made the parents of the Dhanishtha to donate the living organs of her and save others live.

Her parents said:

"We had already lost our loving child, and we didn't want others to suffer the same misery. Hence we asked the doctors to retrieve Dhanishtha's organs and donate them to needy ones. Yes, she isn't with us but we can see her living in others.

Then her heart, liver, both kidneys and cornea were transplanted to five patients. Including a five month infant. Her kidneys and liver were used in adults. And thus she saves 5 lives after being declared brain dead.

Her father Ashish Kumar said:

"I feel proud to be father of  Dhanishtha, India's youngest cadaver donor, my child became a medium to save the lives of five patients.

Kumar also said that "I'll not say that I'm happy but whenever I would remember her, I would be proud that she became the reason for saving many patients." He said that we appeal to all for cadaver donations and request to not believe in the myths that are spread.

"This proud moment will replace the painful memory," he said.

"This courteous act by her parents is really admirable and motivate others. At 0.26 per million, India has among the lowest rate of organ donation. On an average 5 lakh Indians die every year due to lakh of organs."

Deep respect to her family who made the decision to donate in their hour of agony. They set the real example of humanity. This kind and selfless act is truly inspiring and soulful. My dear Dhanishtha, we never forget you and your kind family.
Heroes don't die they live within us, so be a hero and donate organs

Before that, 2 and a half year old  Jash Ojha's organs were donated by his family after he was declared brain dead. And thus he saved 7 lives.
Be useful when living, be more useful when dead

Salute to these children and their families, If they can donate her body parts after death then we too can save many lives by donating our organs after death, so that million life can be saved every year. Let's donate.
